James Grose & his architect wife Nicola Bradley established Grose Bradley in 1989, with a focus mainly on residential work. In 1998 they merged with Bligh Voller Nield which enabled them to take on far larger projects.  

The practice of Grose Bradley continues within Bligh Voller Nield.  James Grose is a Principal of both practices, and is also president of the Australia Architecture Association, which aims to encourage public understanding and discussion about architecture through talks, architectural tours, and festivals
