Ken Latona

Ken Latona is known as an environmental architect.  Trained by Glenn Murcutt whose philosopy of ‘tread the earth lightly’ seems to have resonated to his student.  Latona believes in designing with a responsibility to the future of the planet,

Latona is responsible for several eco-resorts in Tasmania.  He established the six-day, fully guided Cradle Mountain walk, enabling walkers to experience the beauty of the wilderness and sleep in comfortable beds in Latona-designed huts. He later added the four-day Bay of Fires walk and designed the Bay of Fires Lodge. Ken Latona
