DESIGN CONCEPT   The Hotel Lucerne is located in a magnificent park setting in the heart of the city. It is Lucerne's luxury boutique hotel that celebrates simplicity and spirituality as much as it does elegance, refinement and timeless design.

Its architect is none other than the French star architect Jean Nouvel who also designed the famous Lucerne Culture and Convention Center just steps away.

Having designed every piece himself, the furnishing concept bears Nouvel’s hallmark: Vertical lines are drawn in wood, horizontal ones in stainless steel. Not one to rely on his skill alone, he chose his advisor and colour specialist, the Parisian Alain Bony, to create individual colour compositions for each of the 25 guestrooms.

Perfecting the element of surprise, Nouvel selected film stills from his favourite directors, including Buñuel, Almodóvar and Greenaway, to project onto all the rooms’ ceilings. Making iconic scenes like one taken from Fellini’s "Casanova" come alive when you lie in bed.

Bam Bou is Lucerne's most stylish Gault Millau awarded restaurant. This quite extraordinary space serves an exciting melt of Asian and French cuisine, created by celebrity chef Andrew Clayton. "East-meets-West" - a taste beyond all expectations.
