DESIGN CONCEPT

Uma Paro is located in Bhutan, a Himalayan kingdom steeped in fable.  The main building, formerly a Bhutanese nobleman’s home, forms the hotel’s heart, with the rooms and suites reflecting the vernacular of Bhutan through use of materials such as handcrafted stone and tiles, timber darkened by smoke from wood fires, and white walls vividly painted by local artists, complemented by contemporary uncluttered interiors.
