Parrot Cay is a private island where a luxurious 5 star resort with exclusive facilities has become a favourite of celebrities and movie stars

With over 1000 unspoilt acres, wetlands and a mile-long powdered beach, this once uninhabited island is now a shimmering whitewashed wellness retreat.

Parrot Cay is all about relaxation, with COMO Shambhala Retreat offering yoga and Asian-inspired therapies, the regions best spa and haute cuisine. Rooms in the main resort are designed to maximise light, finished in whitewash with chic teak touches, facing the sea or the island’s natural landscaping, visitors can enjoy the view and the breeze from the ocean. Here simplicity begets sophistication. Balinese day-beds, four-posters and private pools encourage relaxed lounging.

Located a short buggy ride from the main resort, the privately-owned Residences come with an abundance of space, 24-hour butler service and your own stretch of beach as well as the option to book a personal chef. Each Residence features sophisticated, yet simplistic contemporary design and comprises between three and five bedrooms, generous living space and a magnificent pool. This is the ideal place to spend time with your family and friends.

ENVIRONMENT

Each property within the COMO Group has its own identity that reflects its location while respecting the environment and indigenous culture. The architecture and design of each property has involved the use of local resources.

As well as their involvement in contemporary living concepts, the COMO Group also has philanthropic interests, managed by the COMO Foundation.

The Foundation leads the Group’s efforts in social investment, furthering its core commitment to diversity by celebrating individuality and entrepreneurship while recognising the richness of traditional culture.

Over the last five years, the COMO Foundation has supported local grassroots non-profit organisations that work to improve the lives of women and girls. Their focus is on women because they believe progress percolates through families. At the same time, encouraging a strong sense of community through local ownership, peer support, mentoring and collective decision-making.

To date, grants from the foundation have enabled healthcare, income generation, skill development, education and craft preservation projects. There are no geographical limitations to the Foundation’s portfolio.

Accommodation consists of 65 rooms, including Parrot Cay Estates – six privately owned villas available to rent. All two and three bedroom villas as well as all homes at the Parrot Cay Estates have private butler service.

Facilities & activies include the award winning COMO Shambhala Retreat and Gymnasium – which features 9 treatment rooms including private cottages and pavilions with Japanese baths, shower and changing area, Private Yoga Studio and Yoga Pavilion, Pilates Hut and Private Pilates Studio, Steam rooms and sauna, Outdoor Jacuzzis, Gym, Asian-inspired holistic therapies developed by COMO Shambhala, including reflexology, Ayurveda (an Ayurvedic Consultant is on site), massage and facials

Guests have a choice of the Asian inspired Lotus Poolside Restaurant or Mediterranean cuisine at the Terrace Restaurant, both restaurants serve healthy cuisine from the COMO Shambhala Menu including food rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals, raw food menu items and predominantly vegetarian selections – also available from room service

LOCATION

Location Situated on a private island in the Turks and Caicos Islands, situated 575 miles south east of Miami. Parrot Cay is about 35 minutes by boat from Providenciales, the main island.
