DESIGN CONCEPT

Designed by William Cody, “Southridge” features clean and simple lines, with open and airy spaces, with each room oriented towards the mountains or the valley. Architecturally it’s the best of the 60’s California; bookmatched Italian travertine walls, expansive sliding glass doors, turquoise pool overlooking the desert and valley of Palm Springs and a fireplace complete with original mesh curtain.

Your neighbours include two amazing John Lautner designed houses, one featured in the James Bond movie “Diamonds are forever” and the other is the “martian spaceship” designed for Bob Hope in 1974. With interiors by Arthur Elrod expect amazing twentieth century art and furniture including works by Mies van der Rohe, Richard Schultz, Eileen Gray and George Nelson. If that is not enough, sit down for a cocktail at Joan Collin’s baby white grand piano -  a result of her visit in 1999.

After a day tanning around the pool, watch the sunset and settle in for a truly LA view: stars above, the desert landscape and the distant headlights of the freeway across the valley. This property offers the seclusion and privacy of A- list Hollywood with 24 hour security, and other services available such as chef, pilot, daily housekeeping, massage and limo at your fingertips.
